3. Cupcake Lanterns: (2 types)
- The 1st type require a box cutter or x-acto knife, cut a small X in the top of the cupcake liners and connect them to a string of bulb lights for a beautiful effect. These won’t hold up in the rain, so you will need to take them down if they are outside or use them on a porch that stays dry in bad weather. Get the full tutorial HERE

4. Paper Bag Lanterns: (2 types)
- The 1st type of paper bag lanterns are tabletop lanterns and only require lunch bags or gusseted bags that are approximately 5×9″ and votive (tea) lights.
Cut or punch designs into the sides of a lunch bag, then place a heaping scoop of sand, rice, or beans inside. Set a votive candle inside, and light! Line a walkway, porch, or table with them for a charming and attractive effect.
- The 2nd type of paper bag lights are hanging lanterns that are strung on lights and hung around a porch or patio.
