Save Your Jars To Make These Gorgeous BOHO Lanterns!

Welcome to PAGE TWO of the Gorgeous Bohemian Style BOHO Mason Jar Lanterns Tutorial.

As lavishly decorated as these appear, you will be pleasantly surprised to know that they only require a few simple materials and some mason jars to craft them.

I love these jars and the BOHO style they represent. They will look great in any home decor. You don’t have to be a hippie to absolutely love the distinct look of these BOHO mason jar lanterns.

What you will need:

3 Medium sized mason jars

2-3 Acrylic colored paints

1 Small sponge brush

1 Gold puff paint

1 Package of multi colored rhinestones

1 Glue bottle or hot glue

3 Tea lights

Instructions:

  • Make sure your 3 mason jars are clean and free of any grease from fingerprints etc. Wipe them down with alcohol after washing them to remove any residue so the paint will stick well.
  • Using your acrylic paint, in a mixing bowl mix 1/3 teaspoon of paint with 1 teaspoon of water and stir well.
  • Using your sponge brush, carefully paint the entire inside of each jar with your chosen colors and allow to dry. if the cost seems thin after drying, repeat the process and allow to dry.
  • Once the paint has dried completely, use your glue to attach the rhinestones where you want them and allow to dry.
  • Lastly, use the gold puff paint to begin painting the rim of the jar as well as the decorative dots on your jars and around the rhinestones to create your design.
  • Let it dry overnight and add a tealight or votive candle and enjoy!

TIP: I personally like to use a small jar votive so the inside of my beautiful jars do not get filled with melted wax.
