Put Your Summer Clay Pots To Good Use Making A Winter Clay Pot Snowmen Couple!

Welcome to PAGE TWO of the EASY Clay Pot Snowmen Couple craft project tutorial. Snowmen are a holiday favorite of many, I admit that snowmen are my favorite holiday decor craft. I just can’t get enough of the little jolly fellows. They make me smile!

There’s a Mr. & Mrs. Santa, so who says there can’t be a Mr. & Mrs. Snowmen Couple??

Below you will find the steps to make this adorable pair.

Instructions:

Paint your pots white and let them dry.

Measure the rim of the pot, then cut scrapbook paper strips in that width. Use a paint brush and Mod Podge to glue it to the rim.

Make a hat by cutting the fingers off of a knit glove, add glue around the bottom of the terra cotta pot. Pull the elastic wristband of the glove over the bottom end of the pot. Fold the wristband upward to look like the brim of a hat.

Tie a ribbon around the open end of the glove and tie in a knot, then tie a bow.

To make earmuffs for the other pot, glue ribbon and pom poms to the pot.

Dip a small paintbrush into pink paint and dab off the excess until the brush is just about dry. Dab on the cheeks with the dry pink brush.

Add a nose with a liner brush and orange paint. Add the facial features with the handle end of a paintbrush dipped in black paint (dotted mouth and eyes) and a Sharpie marker (wiggly smile).

Let everything dry then put a light coat of Mod Podge over the face and other white areas, taking care not to hit the hat or ear muffs.
