There are a lot of craft projects that utilize crayons such as my Crayon Candle Craft Project. I love working with crayons, they are a colorful medium that brings vibrancy to any craft project. Today we are going to be making Crayon Art Wall Murals using a technique for melting crayons I found on Artistic Junkie by Amanda Bailard.
You may have seen crayon art using a drip technique but what I am going to show you is a bit different. The result is a beautiful watercolor effect.
What you will need:
LOTS of Crayons ( there is one of each shade in a box, you can go through at least 3-5 crayons of one shade on a single crayon painting)
Hair Dryer
Heat Gun {Optional}
Canvas
Exacto Knife or a sharp kitchen knife
Paper Plate or piece of cardboard
To see more photos and simple directions head on over to Artistic Junkie where Amanda Bailard will show you how it’s done.
If you decide to make this, tell us how it turned out. Make sure to give us any tips or ideas you may have on making it even better.
