With so many types of stockings available for purchase at Christmas time, why not create your own original Granny Square Crochet Christmas Stocking that you can use each year or make for gifts for family and friends that you each will cherish for years to come.
I found a free pattern and tutorial by Maggie Weldon that is easy to make using worsted yarn that will create a beautiful crochet christmas stocking that is easy enough for a beginner. I love the red, green and white color pattern in this project and can’t wait to make my own and use it for Christmas this year!
What you will need:
Bulky Weight Yarn: Green, White & Red
Crochet Hook:Size K-10½ (6.50 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: Each granny square measures 4” across.
