Angels are a symbol of of peace, love, hope and even protection in some cultures. Regardless of origin, people worldwide love angels and at Christmas time, they are even more cherished. I have loved angels since I was a child and still do to this day and I have been looking for a unique way to make DIY Angel Ornaments for my tree this year.
I found some images on Pinterest that were so cute I just had to create a tutorial for them since I could not find a source. These angels are really easy to make and only require a few materials to make them.
What you will need:
- Teardrop shaped ornament
- Wooden ball bead sized to fit as a head on your ornament
- Craft paint for face (black, white, peach and tan or brown
- Paint Brush
- Yarn in whatever color you want the hair
- Wide Gold Ribbon for wings
- Thin Gold Ribbon for bow
- Gold Strand for hanger
- Hot glue and sticks

Re your darling angel ornament could you advice where you obtained the teardrop ornament from. I tried last year to obtain for a beaded Xmas ornament & couldn’t find a supplier. This is the first time I have seen this shape used & would love to make some as they will coordinate well with my other ornaments.
Thanks
I got mine from Michaels crafts many years ago. Try doing a google search for teardrop ornaments.
Thanks, but I have tried a google search, but was unable to find them, I also bought mine some years ago & cant find a UK supplier.
I curious on what kind of yarn you used. Was a cotton yarn and looks like you may separate the plus of yarn.
When I made mine I used yarn that was in the doll section of the craft store so it was made to use for hair.
