Save Your Wine bottles To Make Some Of These!

Welcome to PAGE THREE of the DIY Glass Bottle Candle Holders Showcase Collection!

Now that you’re familiar with glass cutting and have seen some photos to inspire your imagination, I want to share an awesome tutorial from ‘Wine and Cork’ that will take you through the steps to create an amazing set of glass bottle candle holders and cork bottoms to set them on.  You may have seen similar items in stores for high prices, and as I always say, why buy when you can DIY!

Instructions:

Once you have cut your bottles using the tutorial on page one, you simply place a candle on the cork bottoms your about to learn about, setting the cut bottom on top of the candle.

To make the Cork Bottoms for this set you will need:

  • 19 corks: make sure they are of similar heights!
  • Hot glue gun
  • A saw (a coping saw is best but I didn’t have one so I used a backsaw)
  • Wood stain (I chose a dark walnut color)
  • Sponge brush
  • Clear acrylic sealer
  • Rubber band
  • Candles
