What Can You Make With A Mason Jar A Cinnamon Stick And Essential Oils?

diy air freshener

Once a year during the Autumn season, our senses get aroused by the aromatic fall fragrances we all love and fill our homes with. Even stores we shop in at this time of year smell so good with all the savory spice scents we adore, and flavors we love to indulge in this time of year.

Cinnamon is one of those wintery spices we love to smell in the air and today, thanks to the wonderful folks at ‘Shaken Together Life’ you will learn how to make a Cinnamon Orange DIY Mason Jar Air Freshener. These smell SO GOOD and will fill your home with this amazing scent without having to burn a candle to enjoy these Fall flavors. This is so much better than a candle, and a little hot water refreshes it if it starts to dry out. I love this craft project and I hope you will too 🙂

These make amazing gifts and you can package it with the essential oils to make it a gift that keeps on giving because it never has to be thrown away like candles do when they are gone.

What you will need:

  • Mason Jars
  • Watersorb or a similar water absorbing polymer
  • Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil (10 drops)
  • Orange Essential Oil (10 drops)
  • Tulle
  • Twine
  • Cinnamon stick

Instructions:

In a bowl, stir together 1 teaspoon polymer absorbent crystals, 1 cup of hot tap water and 10-20 drops of essential oils.
Stir together until blended and add a little more water if necessary – there should not be any dry powder/crystals left.
Split the mixture between two half-pint mason jars.
Place a thin piece of lace or tulle over the jar (leave off the jar lid) and screw on the ring.
