  1. I use dryer sheets to get the musty smell out of old books. put several within the book separated by several pages each then place in a “ziplock” bag. in a couple of weeks the mustiness is gone. The dryer sheets also repel rodents. If you have a motor home that is left empty for many months through out the year tuck them in the cushions, mattresses and along the floor and in the cupboards and you won’t have rodent problems.
