Looks Hard… But It’s NOT! I’m Trying This!

I’ve spent a lot of time on Pinterest and other crafting sites on my quest for new projects and I came across the most amazing pendant light project from ‘beautifully contained’ that took an ordinary paper lantern and turned it into a DIY Faceted Fortune Teller Paper Lantern that was out of this world gorgeous when lit. I loved the designs it casts on the walls and ceilings and just had to share this with you.

What you will need:

  • 16″ – 20″ paper lantern
  • glue gun and sticks
  • white 8.5″ x 11″ computer paper (to make the fortune tellers)

Instructions:

The first thing that you need to do is fold a bunch of these origami fortune tellers.  Here is a link, if you need instructions, or you can just google “origami fortune teller”.

Once you’ve got a BUNCH of origami shapes folded, grab a glue gun and put a dot of glue on the back center of each one.  Then, start sticking them on the paper lantern.  I started out doing a ring of them around the center of the lantern and then worked my way up from there.
