Ghost Luminaries Super Easy Craft Project For Kids

ghost luminaries

We’ve been so focused on Halloween Projects to make to decorate our homes but most of them are too technical for the kids, so I thought it would be a wonderful idea to include a Halloween Craft Project just for the kids to make and I found an adorable one at the ‘Intello Kids Blog’ for making Ghost Luminaries that are simple enough even for the smallest of hands as the original tutorial was done with preschoolers.

What you will need:

  • Liquid starch
  • Packages of cheesecloth
  • Scissors
  • Scraps of black felt
  • Glue
  • Large bowl
  • Ball (styrofoam is fine too)

Instructions:

  1. Pre cut pieces of felt into eye and mouth shapes and get cheesecloth squares ready.
  2. Dip the cheesecloth in the bowl of starch solution and lay it over the ball to dry.
  3. After it dries gently glue the mouth and eyes on!
  4. Keep the dried cloth on the ball and brush a glue and water solution over it. Apply very fine sparkle glitter!
  5. Once dried, remove the ball and add LED Lights underneath them
