With This Technique And A Specific Paint Type The Results Are MIND BLOWING!!

Welcome to PAGE THREE of the Floral DIY Painted Glasses Tutorial. Once you have painted your floral designs following the techniques in the video below, it is recommended to bake them to cure the paint by placing your glassware in a COLD oven and turning on the heart to 350 and allowing them to heat for 30 minutes. Never put glassware in a hot oven or the glass can shatter. Allowing them to heat up gradually avoids damage. Once the 30 minutes is up, allow them to cool down gradually by turning off the over, cracking the door and waiting for them to cool to the touch.

Once they have cooled. You can further protect your beautiful glasses by spraying them with clear gloss enamel spray and allowing them to dry completely for no less than 24 hours before handling. This step is optional. I have found that simply baking them protected the paint and made the glasses dishwasher safe when put in the top rack. The choice is yours.

Also be sure to never paint near the rim of the glass where your mouth will come in contact with the paint. Even though folkart enamel and other paints are non-toxic, it is best to avoid contact with the mouth and or food/drinks for your own safety and the safety of your guests.

Watch the quick 2 minute video below by Donna Dewberry, showing 2 simple floral design techniques to help get you started making your own beautiful painted glasses. She shows how truly simple it is to create these floral designs with one stroke folkart enamel.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and have been inspired to try this floral DIY painted glasses technique yourself.
