With only a few days left until Halloween, we are in the throws of Halloween Week Tutorials here at Gotta Love DIY. This tutorial from ‘Thrifty Fun’ is for making these cute Scarecrow and Pumpkin Hand Painted Halloween Mason Jars that hold a tea light candle at the top.
It is highly advised that you only use electric or battery operated tea lights for this craft project as the straw hat and other elements are flammable and open flame candles are NOT safe to use. Please adhere to that suggestion for your own safety and the safety of those around you.

What you will need:
- mason jar and lid
- spray paint (beige and orange)
- paint pens or craft paint
- raffia, flowers, straw hat and other decorative elements you choose
- clear sealer (optional)
- electric or battery operated tea light

What size hat do you use for the scare crow? There are multiple sizes
Depends on the size of the jar you use. I usually bring a jar lid with me to the store when I buy accessories so I can make sure my hats and other items will fit 🙂
