Aren’t These Cute? I’m Making Them This Year!

You may have guessed by now that one of my favorite Christmas decorations are snowmen, I love them! These illuminated Snowman Candle Holders from ‘Crafts For All Seasons’ will add a warm frosty glow to any room with their adorable faces filled with holiday cheer.

These are made to hold a votive candle or tea light and can be made with any round glass bowl, votive or even a fishbowl. Their little faces are painted on and the nose is made with orange polymer clay. It is important to use mesh craft wire for the hat for ventilation and protection from flammability. You can add any type of hat you want if you are intending to use only electric or battery operated tea lights that can safely illuminate the snowmen without the danger of a fire hazard. You can also fill the bowl with led string lights which will work just as well.

What you will need:

  • Six inch glass bowl or fish bowl
  • Frosted glass spray paint
  • Black glass paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Orange polymer clay
  • Golf tee
  • Wire craft mesh (found in craft stores near the pottery and clay)
  • Small length of ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Soup can
  • Hot glue gun
  • Votive candle (OR battery or electric tea lights or LED string lights)
