Did You Ever Think An Old Sock Could Be THIS CUTE?

I’ve recently shares a tutorial for making some really cute DIY Sock Snowmen and today you will learn how to make an adorable Thanksgiving Sock Turkey that does not require any sewing (YAY). I just love sock animals, they have the cutest expressions and have a way of filling a room with holiday cheer and kids love them!

This tutorial is one I found at ‘Christian Games and Crafts’ is an inexpensive and easy project the kids can help with. There is also a link to download free Sock Turkey templates on the source website to help make this project even easier which you will be given a link to below.

What you will need: 

  • 1 Brown sock (womens or childs size)
  • Rice or dried beans to fill sock
  • Funnel with large end
  • 2 Rubber bands
  • Orange craft foam
  • Turkey template (See link to download below.)
  • 15″ Thin orange ribbon
  • 7-9 Orange feathers
  • 5 Yellow feathers
  • Small piece of yellow felt or paper
  • 2 Googly eyes
  • Red pipe cleaner
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Preparation
• Use a template to cut feet and feather back from orange foam.
