What Do You Get With A Christmas Napkin, Mason Jar & Snow? MAGICAL!!

Welcome to PAGE TWO of the Snowy Christmas Napkin Decoupage Mason Jar Tutorial. This technique can be used for any holiday simply by changing the holiday napkins you will use to make them. Another great idea is to make beachy scenes by adding a bit of brown paint or even sawdust to the snow tex to give it the appearance of sand instead of snow. Use your imagination and see what you can come up with.

Instructions:

  • Spray paint your jar with white chalk paint and allow to dry.
  • If your napkins are 2 ply.. separate them so there is only 1 layer of paper napkin
  • Paint your jar with Mod Podge
  • Lay the napkin on the wet Mod Podge and lay the plastic wrap over the napkin to smooth out wrinkles to lay flat on the jar.
  • Allow it to dry and apply another coat of Mod Podge on the dried napkin and allow that to dry.
  • Use a plastic knife to apply snow tex to the top and bottom of the jar with uneven edges to look like fallen snow.
  • Once dry, you can now decorate the top of the jar with ribbon, bows, garland or other embellishments.
