My Family Begged Me To Make These For Them After They Saw Them!

Welcome to PAGE TWO of the Mason Jar Snowman Decorations Tutorial.

You can add a remote controlled tea light inside (so you do not have to take the lid off repeatedly to turn the lights on or off) that would sparkle wildly when lit.

Please note that you CANNOT use real candles with these because the hair and hats on these require them to be on and there’s also too much risk of fire with the feathery hair. So please do not try that.

What you will need to make these:

  • mason jars (taller is better)
  • white spray paint
  • acrylic glass paint in black, blue, white orange, pink and green
  • paint brushes including a fine tip brush for detailing
  • glitter spray or german glass glitter (amazon or craft store)
  • feather hair (craft store or walmart)
  • small christmas hat

Instructions:

  1. make sure your glass jars are clean, dry and free of oils from fingers.
  2. spray paint the jars white and allow to dry
  3. using the photos as guides, hand paint on the eyes, nose, cheeks and mouth as well as the holly leaf and berries. Allow to dry
  4. carefully apply glitter spray (or glass glitter) and allow to dry
  5. Next, if you want it to be lit from within add your remote controlled tea light inside the jar and put the lid on your jar.
  6. Now glue the christmas hat on covering the jar lid and glue in place.
  7. Lastly, glue on the feather hair and allow to dry.

That’s it!! Now that you know how, it is time to get busy making your own Mason jar Snowman!
