Below you will see the process that was used to create this stunning wall light. Having an idea of what you want your finished product to look like is helpful.
Here below, a drawing was made that was modeled after the piece from Notre Dame.
A template the size of her table was taped to the back of her table to use as a guide. She got busy cutting her glass pieces and stresses “not to rub your eyes during glass cutting”!
Then she started gluing the pieces onto the table.
Once the glass pieces were glued on, she used grout to fill in all the spaces between them.
A scraper is used to push the grout into the seams and allowed 30 minutes for the grout to begin drying before using a dry rag to remove the excess grout.
After a few hours she used a damp rag to wipe the grout off the glass pieces.
To light the piece Ananda then used LED light strips to line the back of the piece.
