If You Love Coffee And Vanilla You GOTTA See This DIY Candle!

I have seen many tutorials for this type of candle but most of them suggest tea lights which are those little round tins with a small candle in the center and I can tell you these do not work for this type of candle. In this tutorial you will learn how to make a Vanilla Coffee Bean Candle Bowl. This type of candle works in such a way that the inner vanilla candle heats up and warms the coffee beans and gives off the scent of both the vanilla and coffee.

When a tea light is used, the outer tin does not get hot enough to warm the coffee beans which is why many people say that this type of candle doesn’t work well. But those I have made using a glass votive candle work great so be sure not to use tea lights when you make this.

What you will need:

  • small ceramic or glass bowls (however many candles you want to make)
  • 1 – 1.5 cups of your favorite coffee beans per bowl (amount depends on the size of your bowls
  • 1 small glass votive vanilla bean or french vanilla candle per bowl

You want to be sure that your candle height is the same as your bowl because the coffee beans must be filled to the rim of the candle without overflowing for this to work properly.

Put your votive candles in the center of each of your bowls and one at a time, carefully fill the surrounding bowl with coffee beans until the votive is covered to the rim with beans. Be sure your votive is securely set at the base of the bowl.

That’s all there is to it. Light your candle and once the inner candle has heated up the glass votive, that warmth will enable the aroma of the coffee beans for a delicious double scent you are sure to enjoy.
