Dazzling DIY Sparkle Ball Tutorial [Video]

Below you will find the full instructions for making a DIY Sparkle Ball as well as a video you can watch to see them being made. If you decide to make one of these yourself I would love for you to send me a photo of your finished project!!

Instructions for making DIY Sparkle Balls:

1) Begin by drilling a hole into each of the 50 plastic cups

2) line up 2 cups side by side and staple them together. Keep adding cups (12 total) and stapling them together which begin to form a circle.

3) for the next row you will use 9 cups adding a cup on top and in between 2 of the bottom cups and staple. Use the clothes pins to hold 3 more in place and staple those together and to the bottom cups below it.

4) to finish the head of your sphere, make another circle on top of the set you just made using 4 cups and staple everything well.

5) make another half sphere using the same technique above so you end up with 2 half spheres.

6) once you have finished making both sphere halves, you can begin placing the LED lights into the pre-drilled cup holes. Work your way around ensuring that each cup has a light inserted into the end.

7) when you have completed the first half sphere, bring the other half sphere next to the first and repeat the same process of adding lights into each of the cup holes on the 2nd sphere and be sure to leave a good amount of the plug end of the lights hanging out at the end.

8) now put both half spheres together to form a round globe and use the clothes pins on 3 sides of the globe for support while you staple both halves together making sure they are not loose.

9) plug them in and let the Sparkle Light Dazzle begin!!
